George Markou, 博士，塞浦路斯科技大学和比勒陀利亚大学教授。《Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment》等SCI期刊编委，发表学术论文80余篇。主要从事纤维增强复合材料模型开发与建模、钢筋混凝土结构地震评估以及有限元软件开发等工作。主讲《结构系统有限元方法导论》、《钢筋混凝土结构设计》等课程。开发了钢筋混凝土结构分析软件系统：ReConAn。
报告摘要：
The presentation will cover numerical advancements in the nonlinear monotonic and cyclic loading of structures by discussing the visual results obtained with the Reconan FEA software. Then, the scientific field of Smart monitoring will be introduced by discussing a new health monitoring and damage diagnostic system. This system also utilizes a digital twin to assist in the damage diagnostics process. Finally, the topic of machine learning in relation to solving engineering problems will be covered. The presentation will end with suggested areas of research related to optics.
